We want to help you prepare for your new baby's session! You need not worry about bringing much unless you have special props or items that you want to incorporate in your session.
If you are doing family portraits, we suggest coordinating your outfits together. We want to capture timeless portraits with your newborn at this time, and suggest everyone wear all black for a low key portrait, or all white for a high key portrait. We have examples at our studio and on in our galleries page that you can look through for inspiration. Be sure to wear long sleeves and a solid color with no patterns or logos for the best portrait.
Here are a few tips to bring along with you,
but you can leave the rest to us!
• extra diapers and wipes
• pacifiers to soothe between poses and feedings
• props / items from your nursery
• extra outfit for you in case of a baby peeing accident :)
We suggest timing your baby's feeding in a way that you can arrive at the studio at feed them. Most babies are their sleepiest right after eating and if you feed them before you leave, by the time we take them from their car seat and undress them, they are wide awake and often are not so sleepy. If you can wrap your baby in a blanket and nurse them at our studio, your baby will be sleepy and ready for images at the beginning of your session. We have a private dressing room and plenty of blankets and pillows, so you can feel at home with us!Session Details
